THINC Fund gives people across Lambeth and Southwark the opportunity, funding and decision-making power to make their communities healthier.
Through public voting, live pitching and a random draw, we've tested three different ways of putting funding closer to the communities it is intended to serve.
THINC Fund creates different routes for local people and organisations to access funding, influence decisions and turn their ideas into action — prioritising Mental Health & Wellbeing and Access to Healthy Choices, for people who often face the greatest barriers to good health.
Each approach tests a different way of putting decision-making power closer to the communities THINC serves.
In 2025, THINC Fund put funding decisions directly into the hands of Brixton and Peckham residents.
Thousands of local people voted for the ideas they believed would make their area healthier. The result was £400,000 invested across 29 community projects, with individual awards ranging from £5,000 to £20,000.
Young residents of Lambeth and Southwark were invited to pitch ideas for improving health and wellbeing in their communities.
Four projects received funding to turn their ideas into action, with two additional £1,000 awards recognising the most creative application videos.
Six eligible organisations were selected through a random draw broadcast live on Instagram.
Each receives a £3,000 unrestricted grant that can support salaries, rent, core costs, programme delivery or wherever the funding is most needed.
The successful organisations will be announced following due diligence.
